How to Change Your cPanel Password
Keeping your hosting control panel secure is highly important. If you feel your current password is weak, or if you just want to update it for security reasons, CeylonServers allows you to change it easily.
You can change your password using two different methods:
Method 1: Changing Password via CeylonServers Client Portal (Easiest)
If you remember your CeylonServers client area password, you can change your cPanel password instantly without logging into cPanel directly.
- Log In: Go to the Ceylon Servers Client Dashboard and log in.
- Go to Services: Click on "Services" on the top menu and select "My Services".
- Open Product Details: Find your active hosting plan and click on it.
- Click Change Password: On the left-hand sidebar under the "Actions" menu, click on the "Change Password" link.
- Enter New Password: Type a strong new password, confirm it, and click "Save Changes". Your cPanel password is now updated automatically!
Method 2: Changing Password Directly Inside cPanel
If you are already logged into your cPanel and want to change the password from the inside, follow these steps:
- Log into cPanel: Access your cPanel dashboard.
- Open Password & Security: Scroll down to the "Preferences" section at the bottom, or search for "Password & Security" in the top search bar.
- Verify Old Password: Enter your current (old) cPanel password.
- Set New Password: Enter your new password. We highly recommend clicking the "Password Generator" button to create a strong, unhackable password.

Forgot Your Password?
If you are locked out of your cPanel and cannot remember your password to use Method 2, don't worry! You can click the "Forgot Password" link directly on the cPanel login page, enter your cPanel Username, and follow the quick steps to reset it.

Security Tip: Always make sure your new password scores 100/100 on the cPanel strength meter by mixing uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols (like @, #, $).
