How to Install WordPress in 1-Click Using Softaculous

Launching a new website can seem intimidating, but with CeylonServers, you don't need any technical coding skills or manual database setup. Thanks to the Softaculous Apps Installer inside your cPanel, you can install WordPress automatically in less than two minutes.

Follow this simple, beginner-friendly guide to get your WordPress site up and running:

Step 1: Click "WordPress Manager by Softaculous"

Log in to your cPanel dashboard directly.
Look at the left-hand side dark blue navigation sidebar.
Click directly on the "WordPress Manager by Softaculous" menu item.

Step 2: Enter the Setup Interface

You will be taken to the Softaculous WordPress overview page.
Click the blue "Install Now" tab or button to open the software configuration form.

Step 3: Software Setup Configurations (Crucial Settings)

Fill in the installation details carefully according to these standard rules:

Choose Protocol: Select https:// or https://www. (Since CeylonServers provides Free SSL automatically, always choose the secure https:// option).
Choose Domain: Select the domain name where you want to install WordPress from the dropdown list.
In Directory: Important: By default, this field might display wp. Delete the word wp and leave this box completely empty! If you leave wp in that box, your website will only open when visitors type yourdomain.com/wp instead of your main address.

Step 4: Configure Site and Admin Details

Scroll down to set up your website identity and secure login details:

Site Name & Description: Type your website title and a short tagline (e.g., My Business Portal). You can easily change this later inside WordPress.
Admin Username: Do not leave it as "admin" for security reasons. Create a unique username (e.g., ceylon_web).
Admin Password: Enter a highly secure password or click the Key/Generate icon to create a strong one.
Admin Email: Enter an active email address where you want to receive WordPress updates and password reset links.

Step 5: Complete the Installation

Scroll down to the very bottom of the page.
Optional: You can type your email address in the box below the install button to receive your installation details log.
Click the blue "Install" button.

Softaculous will now check your server submitted data, create the MySQL database automatically, and unpack the core WordPress script files. Do not close the browser tab until the progress bar reaches 100%.

Success! How to Access Your Website Dashboard

Once completed, you will see a congratulatory message providing two essential URLs:

Frontend Link: https://yourdomain.com (Your live website that the public sees).
Administrative URL: https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin (Your secure backend management dashboard login).
Simply click on the /wp-admin link, and Softaculous will securely log you straight into your brand-new WordPress dashboard automatically without even asking for a password the first time!

Troubleshooting Note: If you click your new link and get a "Site Not Secure" or connection error, it usually means your domain's global DNS propagation is still processing, or the free SSL certificate is finishing its background loop activation.
